Progress reports and belanja makan

On 23 November 2009, all Dr Amin students have to present their progress report for their projects. This time, undergraduate student under supervisory of Dr Amin also present their progress report. After that, Dr Amin invite us for free lunch (supported by Dr Amin) at the cafe. We enjoyed the lunch, it was a joyous moment for us. The order takes time to arrive because it was considered a large order, meanwhile we are waiting for the order to be ready, we take that opportunity to discuss about the research work and other 'personal' matter.
Thanks to Dr Amin for the lunch.

My new arsenal.. toy, hobby and assets- DSLR

Things that I cannot resist, now in my hand... Would be my new arsenal, my new hobby. Some people regards this as an expensive hobby.. Em... I think, its true, because it was so much money goes into it. But surely, if use it properly, it will pay back all the investment. Beautiful memories is much more precious than the money itself...

Yes.. its me, potrait myself in front of the mirror...

Hmm..below is my beloved wife, who is patiently waiting for me doing business with the seller. It takes about more that 1 and half hour for everything to settled and this make her seem tired, because my daughter like to play run & chase. This is thousand ringgit deal, so it cannot be as fast as to buy 1 kilo of fish in the wet market. Thanks darling because you are so understand with my madness for electronic gadgets stuffs.

Few shot that I take with that camera before I decide to buy. I love the capability of the DSLR camera to make the background of the target 'blur'... This cannot be done by compact camera/point-and-shoot camera (unless you are really pro... perhaps..maybe.. you can do that by compact camera without any software manipulation...heh).

All the photos have been resize to make sure it will fit in this blog.

After this, I will join groups and forums consists of pro photographer to enhance my skills in DSLR photography. This arsenal is too precious to be wasted.

Do you want to see muscle cells?

I just being taught by Master Selina how to take picture of cell culture. Actually the urges was from Master Zainah... oh..so many sihfu master here... hehe. Thanks to both who taught me so well, may Allah bless you.

Emm.. for cell culture, we dont use 'normal' microscope, but we need to use inverted microscope. What is that? Thats mean the lens which captured the images are from beneath/under the samples. Normal microscope which usually captured 'slaide" images have captured lens above the samples. Oh.. just forget about that...that info I got from the specialist a.k.a supllier which supply and service the microscope, from Olympus manufacturer.

OK... now you want to see how the muscle cells looks like. Sometimes we call the muscle cell in its own 'science name' which is L6 cells.

This is in 10 times magnification:
And this is 40 times magnification.

Mc Donalds Bandar Baru Bangi

Today I'm going to Mc Donalds Bandar Baru Bangi for dinner. Everything is fine, despite there is a bit delay for the counter services to prepare my order. I knew that it was a policy for McD to try their best to serve as fast as possible, as I still remember their campaign about they will serve in less than 1 minute or we can claim for ... (can't remember...free food..perhaps?). But that was OK for me, as I knew that counter personnel who is serving me is on training.

We got our order and find a seat near the playground (internal playground), then I saw a fly... then another more flies come..maybe the flies smell the food. It is rare to see flies at 'night' (that time is about 9:30 p.m). When once I was a university student years before, I always working part time in McDonalds when it was a semester break, so I knew better about all their policy. McDonalds really put cleanliness as a very important factors among all others good values their believe. So, a fly is a no-no and a big sins for a Mc Donalds !

System down at Petronas Bandar Seri Putra

Today I'm run out of cash in my wallet, I'm rushing to Petronas Bandar Seri Putra,Bangi heading to Maybank ATM machine. I am so surprise to see the petrol station so calm even there was a night market nearby (which usually drive everybody mad for queing to fulfill their car tank). When I am reaching the petrol station, the workers giving me sign that "the petrol station was closed !!!"..aik...
But I just drive in because my intention not for the petrol but for the ATM machine. When I am in the premise, I ask one of the lady in the counter what had happen. She told me that the system down and their cannot do the petrol transaction.

Hmm.. I'm wondering, this system which heavily depends on 'online' is not so good, especially in business. Because you have to hold/stop your business just because of the glitch of the system and you can lost so much for just one session problem. Sometimes, the old method is much more preferable than the new method.

Old school...

Everything I Know about Computers I Learned in the Movies

Very funny.. but yes its really make me think twice...hehe... read on...

Word processors never display a cursor.

It is unnecessary to use the spacebar when typing long sentences.

No one ever makes typing errors.

All monitors display 2-inch-high letters.

The high-tech computers used by NASA, the CIA, or other governmental agencies, have easy-to-understand graphic interfaces. Those without have incredibly powerful, text-based command lines that understand plain English. Corollary: Anyone can access any information by simply typing "Access all secret files" on any keyboard.

You can infect a computer with a destructive virus by simply typing "Upload virus." Just as they do in humans, viruses raise a computer's temperature. Soon smoke will billow out of disk drives and monitors.

All computers are connected.

You can access information on any desktop computer, even when it's turned off.

Powerful computers beep whenever you press a key or whenever the screen changes. Some computers also slow down the screen output to reading speed. Really advanced ones emulate the sound of a dot-matrix printer as characters appear on-screen.

All computer panels have thousands of volts and flash pots just beneath their surface. Malfunctions are always indicated by bright flashes, puffs of smoke, showers of sparks, and explosions that throws people backwards.

After typing on a computer, you may safely turn it off without saving the data, naming the file, or specifying its location.

Hackers can easily break into the most sensitive computers before intermission. They only need a few tries to guess secret passwords.

Any "Permission Denied" message has an "Override" function.

Computers take approximately two seconds to boot up.

Complex calculations and uploading or downloading huge amounts of data take about three seconds. Movie modems transmit data at about two gigabytes per second.

When the power plant/missile site/main computer overheats, all the control panels explode shortly before the entire building does.

If you display a file on the screen and someone deletes the file, it also disappears from the screen. There are no backup files. There is no undelete.

All computers interface with all other computers regardless of manufacturer or galaxy of origin.

All computer disks are readable by all computer systems.

All computers can use any application software.

You are asked for a password when you just look at a disk containing encrypted files.

The more high-tech the equipment, the more buttons it needs.

Operators of high-tech computers must be highly trained because the only labeled button reads, "Self Destruct."

Most computers, no matter how small, have reality-defying, three-dimensional, real-time, photo-realistic, animated graphics capability.

Laptops all have real-time videophone capabilities and the performance of a CRAY-MP.

Whenever characters look at monitors, the image is so bright that it projects itself onto their face.

Computers never crash during important, high-intensity activities. Humans operating computers under stress never make mistakes.

Programs are fiendishly perfect and never have bugs that slow down users.

Internet searches always return what you seek no matter how vague your keywords.

All photographs can be enhanced simply by pulling minute details out of the grain. You can zoom into any picture as far as you want. "What's that fuzzy thing in the corner? Enhance." "Look! It's the murder weapon!"

Windows 7 beat macintosh Snow Leopard?

Still in debate, but actually its depend on you, what you do, how much security you want, what is your current machine, its really determine which OS you want. Full stories at:http://mashable.com/2009/10/30/windows-7-wins/

Windows Seven is my new arsenal

My pc now equipped with the most latest Windows products, Windows seven (Windows 7). Ahh..its really streamline and light. According to one of my friend who worked with IT company, they had been given some briefing on "Whats New" in this Windows 7. And he already tried benchmarked the Windows 7, and yes, its true, it's lightest compared to Win Xp and much more speedier compared to Win Vista.

I'm now,as a user of Win 7, really feel the difference..really.. start up is fast, menu less confusing, and what's more is the preview for active windows in the taskbar IS REALLY GREAT !!! You can hover the cursor to the main application which is active and the windows will show you all the active windows regards to that application, then when you click at the preview, it will go to that window. Then if you click the "x" closed button, it will close that window even in preview state.

It was just some of my experience, maybe you should try yourself...

I'm a bit techie..someone say...He say I'm not a scientist but a techie... oh man... this is my interest..dont blame me, I'am really software-pc-cellphones-electronic freak...
